Technical

We offer calibration to:

  • Manufacturer specifications.
  • ISO 8655 standards.
  • Custom acceptance criteria based on laboratory requirements.

Manufacturer specifications are model-specific tolerances and are often more stringent. ISO 8655 provides internationally recognized, brand-independent Maximum Permissible Errors based on pipette type and nominal volume.

An accredited calibration complies with ISO 17025 requirements and includes measurement uncertainty and full traceability.

Gilson holds ISO 17025 accreditation for calibration services, complemented by ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications for quality and environmental management.

Yes. Accredited ISO 17025 calibration can be performed onsite when environmental conditions allow. Minimum quantities may apply.

Documentation varies according to the selected service level and may include:

  • As Found data.
  • As Returned data.
  • Calibration certificates.
  • Multichannel calibration reports.

Full ISO 8655 compliance is available within our controlled service laboratories due to environmental requirements. Onsite services follow recognized ISO 8655-based methodologies.

Gilson pipettes should be calibrated using gravimetric testing methods in accordance with ISO 8655 standards. For the highest level of accuracy and compliance, we recommend using an authorized Gilson service center.

Calibration frequency depends on usage and application criticality. As a general guideline, pipettes should be calibrated at least every 12 months. Laboratories operating in regulated environments or performing critical applications may require more frequent calibration.

Yes. Most Gilson pipettes can be serviced and repaired using genuine Gilson spare parts. Please use the Contact form to discuss repair options.
