Middleton, WI– February 13, 2023 – Gilson today announces the streamlining of its PIPETMAN® Classic, PIPETMAN® Neo, and PIPETMAN® G into a single product line: PIPETMAN®. This consolidation will make it easier than ever for scientists to choose the best pipette for their applications with the added benefit of reduced pipetting forces.
PIPETMAN is an iconic pipette line used by millions of researchers for their standard lab pipetting activities. They rely on the quality of the instruments for their accuracy and durability. Available now is a simplified three-tiered line of mechanical pipettes: PIPETMAN, PIPETMAN® L, and MyPIPETMAN®.
PIPETMAN is a rebranding of the PIPETMAN G, and Gilson will be phasing out the sale of PIPETMAN Classic and PIPETMAN Neo pipettes. This change aims to reduce customer choice fatigue to help them find the pipette they need faster with all the same features they know and love. PIPETMAN is now available in a larger range of single and multichannel models than previously offered to help researchers better meet their specific application needs. Eight single-channel models cover a volume range from 0.2 µL to 10 mL, eight multichannel (8 and 12 channels) models cover a volume range from 1 µL to 300 µL, and four starter kits are available that include two to four pipettes.
The PIPETMAN L product line helps scientists looking for the same value as PIPETMAN, with additional ergonomics and comfort features for more intensive pipetting activities.
Gilson’s MyPIPETMAN product line is an advanced option for those looking for maximum added value, including product modularity, best-in-class ergonomics, technical choices, and personalization options.
Scientists need to have confidence in their tools, that’s why Gilson pipettes are built to last with high-resistance materials, and the full range of single and multichannel models come with a 3-year manufacturer warranty. The service of PIPETMAN Classic and PIPETMAN Neo are not impacted by the phase out. Each will continue to be supported under the Gilson warranty and service policy. Gilson’s customers can be assured that the existing part numbers remain the same and that the ordering process remains unchanged.
